Senior Software Engineer(PHP)

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior PHP Developer with 6+ years of experience in LAMP stack development (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). You’ll be at the forefront of building and enhancing our applications, so expertise in PHP application development, including OOP, coding standards, design patterns, modularity, and unit testing, is essential

Responsibility

• Collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain both new and existing features and products.
• Contribute to establishing engineering practices that align with industry standards.
• Offer production support, diagnose system issues, and troubleshoot effectively.
• Play a key role in our DevOps team, supporting our initiatives and processes
• Design, build, and maintain robust features and products in our PHP applications.
• Configure and manage Apache Web Server, ensuring optimal PHP process management and log tracking.
• Leverage your solid MySQL knowledge for indexing and query performance, with NoSQL experience (like MongoDB or Cassandra) as a bonus.
• Develop web applications with a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web development concepts.
• Apply your front-end skills with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax), and familiarity with frameworks like Angular, React, Next.js, and Nest.js is advantageous.
• Utilize AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, ALB, Security Groups) to enhance application performance.
• mplement Bash scripting and server health monitoring for better incident management.
• Participate in performance testing and application tuning to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• If you have experience with microservices, Kubernetes, EKS, Java, C#, CI/CD, RabbitMQ, or CloudWatch, that’s a plus!
• Work effectively in Scrum/Agile teams, emphasizing collaboration and strong communication skills.

Requirement

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred
• 6+ years in LAMP stack development (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Must be good with Object-oriented programming (OOP)
